Spring has sprung and that means, with wedding season just around the corner, the springtime wedding shows are in full swing! March 16th and 17th found Fena Flowers at the Woodmark Hotel for the Woodmark Wedding Tasting. This event offered brides who have already booked the hotel for their big day a chance to taste the food and view the services offered by the Woodmark's preferred vendors. Fena Flowers provided all of the flowers in the hotel's

beautiful Olympic Terrace tent and in the adjacent library/bar area. Also showcased were some of Fena's newest wedding decor touches, like paper lanterns, café lighting, and floral wreaths.

All ready for setup!

Yellow was the event's signature color, so each of the centerpieces on the tables in the tent featured that hue, but in wildly different styles to give brides a chance to see the diversity of Fena's design repertoire!

Branches "blossoming" with white orchids rose high above this table, whose earth-brown linens were decorated with tree sections, pads of moss, echeverias, loose flowers, and luscious arrangements in birch bark containers for a look both natural and elegant.

White dendrobium orchids decorate the branches while the upper and lower arrangements contain white and green hydrangeas, yellow roses, bush ivy, and twigs.

On this table, old-fashioned romance bloomed. A beautiful mounded pavé arrangement in a silver urn rose above a quartet of flower-filled julep cups and a carpet of yellow rose petals, giving it an air of lush, timeless refinement.

Yellow, cream, and pale green roses, green hydrangeas, and seeded eucalyptus fill these bouquets.

Formal yet jazzy, this design embraced a distinctive Art Deco aesthetic: a tall vase featuring submerged calla lilies and topped with a striking arrangement rose from a square, mirrored base anchored by corner bouquets. Color-coordinating glass gems and a profusion of tea lights added sparkle to this eye-catching ensemble!

This topper contains white lilies, white hydrangeas, yellow roses, yellow calla lilies, white anemones, and black feathers. The corner arrangements feature white hydrangeas, white anemones, and lamb's ear.

Sunshine with a sophisticated flair shone on this table, where this flower-packed arrangement in a leaf-lined vase nestled in a puddle of yellow fabric. Ornamental grasses and other greens provided an intriguing textural counterpoint to this updated look featuring classic flowers.

This bouquet is composed of yellow gerbera daisies, yellow spray roses, yellow ranunculuses, green hydrangeas, green cymbidium orchids, bells of ireland, lamb's ear, bear grass, variegated bush ivy, and berzelia.

An oversized margarita glass rose above a floral ring in this playful-yet-stylish twist on the traditional centerpiece. Flowers, baubles, and floating votives filled the glass with color and light, a look echoed by votive-topped water-filled cylinders with submerged blooms clustered around the flowers at the glass's base. It's light-filled, light-hearted, and decidedly chic!

White hydrangea clusters and green cymbidium orchid blooms float in the glass and fill the cylinders. The floral ring is composed of white hydrangeas, white roses, green cymbidium orchids, green spider mums, star of bethlehem, and brezelia.

In recent years, Fena Flowers has had a lot of fun decorating tables with these wrought iron trees. Bedecked with crystals, flowers, and hanging votives, they are a glittering invitation to have a great time! Leaf-lined vases of flowers surrounded the tree's base in this setup, providing touches of color closer to the eye-level of seated guests to create a fun, modern variation on the high-and-low combination centerpiece.

Yellow cymbidium orchids, yellow freesia, white ranunculuses, and a jasmine garland decorate the tree. Arrangements at the base are created with yellow freesia, yellow cymbidium orchids, yellow and white roses, white ranculuses, seeded eucalyptus, and bush ivy berries.

Simplicity ruled in this bright, delightful, and very smart-looking centerpiece composed of glass cylinders, clear gems, gold wire, and a beautiful selection of artfully positioned yellow flowers. Gold wire helped elevate those bright calla lilies to eye-catching altitudes while staggered cylinders containing a bloom or two filled the levels below. One of the great things about centerpieces like this one is that it's a fun way to get a lot of color and a distinctive look without breaking the bank!

Yellow calla lilies, yellow mokara orchids, yellow cymbidium orchids, yellow ranunculuses, and yellow roses come together to form this simple and sophisticated look!

Full and formal, this grand pavé centerpiece and accompanying arrangements struck a balance between lush romance and polished modernism. The compact glory of the massed flowers is updated by touches of textural greenery. Arrangements like these always look so impressive on the table!

The arrangements in this centerpiece collection are made up of white calla lilies, white hydrangeas, white and yellow roses, yellow spray roses, yellow freesia, green hydrangeas, green ornamental kale, bells of ireland, brezelia, and bush ivy berries.

While the centerpieces may be the floral highlight, Fena Flowers does more than just decorate tables. Additional options on display at the Woodmark Wedding Tasting included draping and ribbon ties for the tent poles, flowery chandelier covers, and floral accents for both the tent poles and the hotel's topiary shrubbery.

The tent's chandelier transforms into a profusion of flowers.

Fena Flowers can make the topiaries bloom!

A beautiful collection of roses, calla lilies, cymbidium orchids, and star of bethlehem adds color and class to the gathered draperies on the tent's poles.

Thanks to Fena's arrangements and the contributions of other vendors, brides at the Woodmark Hotel's Wedding Tasting were able to envision their wedding venue decorated in eight distinctly different styles. Fena Flowers is looking forward to making these wedding visions come true during the upcoming wedding season at the Woodmark!

With the setup nearly complete, the different personalities of the tables begin to emerge!

Classy, beautiful, and upscale: that's the unbeatable combination of Fena Flowers and the Woodmark Hotel!

  1. Lovely flowers and bouquets. Sitting arrangements seems to be quite well planned. Went for a baby shower of my friend organized by her sister in law at one of the famous DC wedding venues last month. Liked the floral décor and cuisines were delicious too. Return gifts were also praiseworthy.
